I have learnt to be resilient, not to give up when we meet difficulties. We spent about 3 months in building the solar boat and the times we spent together have successfully allowed us to have a deeper friendship. Although my group did not win, we did gain experience.

We worked very hard for this competition. During the process, we have been facing major problems and yet we tried several times and also seek help from our workshop instructor. Finally we managed to work through everything and won the fourth prize. This was really a fruitful experience.

During this competition, I have learnt to manage my time well and not giving up when we were faced with obstacles. Even though we did not emerge the top 6, we were contented that 4 of our team had won.

For my first experience of taking part in a competition in the D&I Club, I felt that teamwork is actually very important, without teamwork, we would not success. I also learnt that we need to persevere and have a never give up attitude towards everything we do and always try it till we success and not giving up half way through out the process. Lastly, I have learnt to be independent and not depend on our teacher for everything because one day, we still have to be dependent and someday if we face some challenges on work, the only person we can dependent on is only ourselves. Even though we got the 5th position, we shouldn’t be too proud and should be more modest and think of ways to improve ourselves and also do our best for everything we does.
